It's been a year since I first saw these adorable pink baby slippers at one of the antique stores that I frequent.
It was the color, that first caught my eye. I loved how the white fur, over time, had turned a soft grey, which perfectly complimented the quilted pink satin. The little shoes had soft leather soles, as well. I was smitten. I lingered in front of the glass case where the shoes were displayed, and agonized over the price tag...........but, in the end, decided that I couldn't justify the price.
I've been back to the store several times over the past year. Each time I was elated to find the slippers were still there, behind the glass........................waiting.
No one had purchased my pink slippers.
Last week I visited the store where I first saw the dear little shoes. When I rounded the corner I saw a sign that read......................................... EVERYTHING IN THIS BOOTH -HALF PRICE.
My pace quickened, as the question formed in my head. Would they still be there?
As I approached the glass case, my question was answered.
There they were, the little pink slippers, behind the glass......waiting......for me!
Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Independence Day,
Kay
